Development milestone 7 to 12 months

After the first six months, we need to put more attention and provide a safety surrounding for our baby at this second half of the years. Victoria is fully engaged with the world now. She smiles, laughs, and has babbling "conversations" with us. And she's on the move now. Development milestone: 6 to 8 month Victoria can stand up at week 24th, when she just turn into 6 months. By 7 months, she already can roll to her tummy and back again, sit without help, and support her weight with her legs well enough to bounce when we hold her. She uses a raking grasp to pull objects closer and can hold toys and move them from one hand to another. She can pulls self to standing position, cruises around furniture while holding on. She can follow some instructions like shake head. She can picks things up with thumb-and-finger pincer grasp. 11- 12 months

For baby: Grow: Her weight is 8.2kg and height 70cm. Feeding: Victoria has been given rice, biscuit, bread, outside food and no more porridge most of the day for her lunch and dinner. Her baby sister has stopped cook porridge for her because she don’t want to eat porridge. Since the Chinese New Year eve, we introduced her to eat rice and feed her same food like us. She is happy and refused to take porridge if I give her porridge. She drinks less milk now. We give her 140ml to 160ml 4 times per day. Night time: Her sleeping time is more consistent now. She sleeps around 1030pm every night and no more nap after 8pm. She wakes up very consistent at 6am for milk milk but in between she will wake up between 1.30 am to 330am just wants to sleep on our bed and wants to latch to continue her sleep. 10-11 months

For baby: Grow: Her weight is 8kg and height 70cm. Feeding: Victoria has been given porridge most of the day for her lunch and dinner. Her portion increase to around 200ml porridge each meal. Sometimes she can finish all and very cooperative and some days not. In certain days, I give her Quaker oat.   She drinks less milk now. We give her 160ml to 180ml 4 times per day. Night time: Her sleeping time is more consistent now. She sleeps around 1030pm every night and no more nap after 8pm. She wakes up very consistent at 6am in this month or most of days twice in a night. This time I will not feed her if she wakes up too early but only let her latch and soothing her to let her sleep back. She is more patient now to wait for her milk. Development: Victoria has another 2 teeth grow out at bottom. She has 4 upper teeth and 4 lower teeth.  Total 8 teeth now. She likes to bite people now. This poor mommy has been beaten by her few times and she bites her mommy nipple...

Baby food - The feeding journey

It is good to see your baby is growing, from drinking a very little milk, starting from 60ml milk, mix bottle feeding, exclusive  breast milk feeding, puree, porridge to solid food then adult food and snacks.  Ready to weaning at 6 months old Baby weaning food  Avent Baby food processer. 9 to 10 months (36 to 40 weeks)

For baby: Grow: Her weight is 8kg and height 70cm. Feeding: Victoria tries something new for the first time at this month. She is choosy now. Her baby sister cooks porridge most day since 37 weeks when she refused to eat puree when I fed her dinner. She is very excited to eat when we gave her something new. We gave her bread with butter kaya at week 38, she can finish the whole slice but just refuse to take her porridge. She don’t want to eat her usual food but very good appetite when gave her bread, rice cracker and fruits. She refused to eat her usual food but is very keen to eat others food. We are thinking if she is big enough to try those solid food. She eats rice, noodles, eggs, cake, bread, cheese, butter kaya, and even ice-cream. It’s totally like adult food without any obligation. 8 to 9 months (32 - 36 weeks)

For baby: Grow: Her weight is 8kg and height 68cm. Feeding: Victoria continued her puree  and semi solid food like cereal, quaker oat, macaroni. She started to take porridge at week 33 (8 months 1 week). I gave her some fresh cut papaya and banana at 8 months. I added some new thing in this month, plain bun (she likes it), Avocado, vegetable soup (potato + tomato+ corn+ onion+ pork rib), kai lan, eggplant, long bean, green bean, papaya. Her appetite return and her daily milk intake is consistent now 180ml to 200ml 3 to 4 days a day. She will wake up for milk as early as 2am to 4am started at week 34 even her last milk is 10pm. Then she will wake up for another milk at 5am to 6am. She likes back to new born time. Night time: Her sleeping time is more consistent now. She sleeps around 1030pm every night and no more nap after 8pm. She wakes up very consistent at 6am in this month or sometimes twice in a night started at week 34. She wakes up at 130am to 4am and 6am again....

7 to 8 months (28 to 32 weeks)

For baby: Grow: I has no weight her because started from this month, she no needs to go back to clinic for any follow up or jab. Feeding: Victoria continued her puree and she has eaten many types of food now. I fed her brown rice cereal at 7 months. She has been given carrot, pumpkin, potato, sweet potato (yellow, purple, orange color), apple, plum, peach, banana, kiwi, pear and cabbage when she was about 7 months. Then I gave her brown rice cereal mix with vegetable and fruits when she turned 7 months. We introduced her broccoli, papaya, tofu, tomato, cauliflower, mustard green, Quaker oat at this month and her first protein - fish at 30 weeks. After 2 weeks of low appetite due to teething period, her appetite returned slowly when she 27 weeks.
