Victoria developmental milestones 0 - 6 months

Every child is unique and develops at her own pace.

Development milestone: new born to 1 month

Victoria was blur of feeding, changing diapers, settling her to sleep, and responding to her wails at the first days with her 1-month-old. But within a few weeks, she'll start to take more notice of her father and my voice, face, and touch.

She can't focus farther but just the right distance for her to gaze at our face. She will pay a few minutes attention when we put a Black-and-white patterns visual training book beside her. She can turn toward familiar sounds, such as your voice as her hearing is fully developed.

She has a 1-2 minutes tummy time after each bath since her first month. She can lift her head briefly or high when first time put her on her tummy at 3 week old. She turns her head to the side when she's on her stomach, but she is still very weak, her head and neck still need support when she's upright. She was excited by moving her arms and legs jerkily every time we put her on her changing mat. She likes to move her arms and legs jerkily when is awake or happy.

She often raised up her lips (smile) when she was sleeping. She likes to play her mouth into many shapes. I love to see her ‘O’ shape!

She likes bath, she stays calm when we bath her and clean her mouth.

Developmental milestones at 2 months

She’s starting to babble when she is 2 months old. ‘Ar’, ‘ Er’ are her favourite sounds. She responses to us by mimic the sounds we make. Sometimes she gives us a sweet smile.

She starts to fancy pacifier. She cries to ask for pacifier at the same time at night only but it drops out very often within 1 minutes because she can’t suck the pacifier correctly. So we end up very tire to put her pacifier back

She no longer need to support her head. When she's on her stomach, she can lift his head and chest that set the stage for rolling over. Her first roll to her left at her 9 weeks old. She rolls to left side only until she is 5 months old she starts to roll to her right.

She can open and close his hands. She likes to pull out her right booties by using her left hand. She can open and close his hands.

She starts to focus an object in front of her. Her eyes ball are unequal when she is focusing an object. She starts to follow where the sound come from.

She also knows her name now and turns to look at us when we call her. Watching herself in a mirror will delight her.

We were basking in the warmth of her delighted smiles! She smiles to you when playing with her. First time I heard she laughed out loudly at her baby sister’s house when they played with her. She enjoys playtime now, she starts to show interest in her toys. Every toys in her hands she will put in her mouth.

She no longer need to support her head. When she's on her stomach, she can lift her head and chest, and even do the mini-pushups that set the stage for rolling over.  She turns over from her left at 12 weeks old. She lifts her head and chest and do mini-pushups when turn over.

She can open and close her hands, shake toys, swat at dangling objects, bring his hands to his mouth, and push down with his legs when I hold her in a standing position.

Her hand-eye coordination is improving. She can focus intently on faces and her eyes ball no more unequal. She can closely tracking objects that interest her. She's able to recognize us from across the room!

She has no more interest in her pacifier or soother. She likes to put her thumb or fingers or whole hand to his mouth. We bought her teeth soother and she likes them.

She can sit with support but still not strong enough to sit up-right even with support at 17 weeks. She tries herself very hard to lift her head up when lying down, this is indicate that she wants to sit up.
