Soft white bread

YIELDS: 1 loaves

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour / white bread flour ( 300+ 100g)
  •  1 tablespoons yeast (or 1 x 7g )
  • 1 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cups  warm-hot water (45 celcius)
  • 30g milk powder (optional)
  • 18 cup  cooking oil
  • Put 2 cups (300g) flour, yeast, sugar, salt into a large bowl. 
  • Pour in hot water and oil and mix until it combined. It will be sticky.
  • Add the remaining flour (~100g) in increment until the dough is no longer sticky. 
  • HKnead about 5 minutes until dough is elastic and smooth. 
  • Put the dough back into the large bowl and cover with a damp tea-towel and let it rise until double it’s size~ 1/2 hour.
  • Punch it down. Roll piece long enough to fill oiled loaf pan and leave it rise until the dough has reached the rim of the pan. 
  • Bake at 200 celcius for 40 minutes. May coverage layer with aluminium foil to prevent crust. 
  • Rub hot bread with water and wrap with tea towel to ‘sweat’ to soften the crust.
